Man critical and another seriously injured after power pole crashes, Eagleby

A man is fighting for his life after his car crashed into a power pole at Eagleby, knocking the pole down and causing a motorbike to crash.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, a car crashed into a power pole along Fryar Road at around 9.15pm and downed it.

Afterwards, a man in his 30s was riding a motorbike along the road and crashed into the downed pole.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening head and chest injuries.

A Metro South Health spokesperson confirmed today he remains in the intensive care unit in a critical condition.

The rider of the bike was also taken to the hospital in a stable condition with significant head, chest, and shoulder injuries.

He remains in a stable condition at the hospital.
