Police have released footage showing the moment they arrested a Beenleigh man, aged 34, following an alleged attempted bank robbery.
The alleged crime took place at a Beenleigh bank on 17 July last week.
“It will be alleged the man entered a bank on City Road and approached a bank teller wearing a mask,” a police statement said.
“The man threatened the teller and demanded cash. The security alarm was activated, and the man allegedly fled empty-handed on foot.”
Police said officers arrested the man last night (24 July) at a residence also on City Road.
The 34-year-old Beenleigh man was charged with one count each of attempted robbery, stealing and fraud – dishonestly obtains property from another.
He is due before Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, July 25.
