A 76-year-old man died in a single vehicle crash at Mundoolun Thursday afternoon.
Police said the vehicle was travelling west along Beenleigh-Beaudesert Road just after 12.30pm when it left the roadway and entered a body of water becoming submerged.
The sole occupant, a man from Bellmere, was retrieved from the vehicle and declared deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
