Mall set for mid-year completion

Springwood Mall’s $16m redevelopment is on schedule to be finished in the middle of this year.

Construction continues, with towering scaffolding surrounding the creation of a new entry near Target and a new commercial office building near Woolworths.

In addition, new external and undercroft car parks are progressing.

Marketing manager Donna O’Neill said the Springwood Mall redevelopment will transform the centre’s look and access for customers.

“The improved additions for customers include the new travelator and lift, which are in the process of being commissioned, plus increased undercover parking and nearly double the number of disabled car parks,” she said.

“Fresh-look interiors, new kiosks and commercial offices will update the inside of the centre.

“While outside, upgraded entry points; improved access from the busway; an expanded Woolworths and new ‘Direct to Boot’ facility; and a great new alfresco dining precinct, will totally change the way Springwood Mall looks and functions.”

Target, Woolworths and all retailers at Springwood Mall are continuing to trade as normal throughout the redevelopment.

Customer car parking is available in the car park directly underneath Woolworths or in the external car park outside Target.
