Mall celebrates creation and construction

A $16 million redevelopment hasn’t stopped September school holiday plans at Springwood Mall.

In fact, the centre is embracing the changes and theming holiday activities around the construction.

A holiday program will deliver free, fun activities that give kids a chance to plant seedlings and build their own colourful pin wheels, reflecting the creation and construction.

From 10am to 1pm from September 21 to 25, kids will have the chance to create seedling planter pots.

They will flex their green thumbs and take home their efforts, just as new landscaping will be a final touch when the Springwood Mall redevelopment is completed next year.

On week two, from September 28 to October 2, kids will build their own colourful pin wheels from 10am to 1pm.

Constructing these will be fun while they use their hands and minds to create something new, while the centre undergoes a colourful, new-look around them.

Marketing manager Donna O’Neill said the customer feedback about the redevelopment had been very positive, with many people commenting positively via social media when updates were posted.

“Overwhelmingly we have people sharing how excited they are for the changes to the centre, and expressing how great it will look when it is finished.

“The school holidays are a great chance for kids to enjoy some fun activities while they, their parents and carers get to see the construction progress throughout the centre.”

Woolworths and all retailers at Springwood Mall continue to trade as normal during these changes, with customer car parking available in the undercroft car park directly underneath Woolworths or in the car park outside of Target.
