Loganlea man charged after alleged property offences

A Loganlea man, 25, has been charged after an alleged series of property offences in Upper Mount Gravatt on 21 April.

Police said they were called to Dawson Road at about 9.30am following reports of a stolen vehicle.

Police said the man allegedly tried to gain entry to several properties in the area before breaking into a property on Dawson Road and attempting to steal a white Mercedes-Benz.

Officers arrived shortly afterwards, where the man allegedly reversed the Mercedes-Benz into a police car that was stopped outside the property, before running from the scene.

He was located by police a short time later and taken into custody.

A second man was also taken into custody, police said.

The Loganlea man has been charged with one count each of entering a dwelling with intent, robbery, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

An Acacia Ridge man, 28, has been charged with one count of obstructing police.

Both men have been remanded in custody and are expected to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 22 April.
