Police have charged two youths from Loganholme following the alleged assault and robbery of a 51-year-old male, ride share driver at Taringa on 2 August.
The ride share driver responded to a booking at Robertson Park on Indooroopilly Road at 3:20am
When he arrived, he was approached by males who assaulted the driver with hammers.
The driver was forcibly removed from the vehicle with the male youths driving off in the car.
Police located the pair on 3 August in Loganholme and have since charged a 15-year-old and 17-year-old boy each with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of deprivation of liberty, robbery in company and stealing.
The ride share vehicle has since been recovered in Logan.
The alleged offenders have both been denied police bail.
