Two Logan teenagers have been charged over a string of alleged break -ins and stolen car offences in Brisbane and Gold Coast last week.
A 15-year-old boy from Logan Central and a 16-year-old boy from Kingston have together collected 25 charges following alleged offences across Hawthorne, Bulimba, Cannon Hill, Runcorn, Sunnybank Hills and Bundall.
Police will allege two vehicles were stolen from a property on Apollo Road in Bulimba overnight on Friday 18 August.
People in the home woke up to find someone had allegedly broken into the house and taken the keys to a silver BMW and grey Hyundai Tucson.
Those cars were then allegedly used to help facilitate other alleged break-ins and attempted break-ins across the region.
It will also be alleged a white Volvo XC60 was also used in some of the break-ins, and was stolen from a property on Tosti Street in Bundall just before 4am on Tuesday 15 August.
The Logan Central teenager has been charged with 18 offences, including five counts of enter dwelling and commit, four counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent and six counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The Kingston teenager has been charged with seven offences, including four counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent, one count of enter dwelling and commit and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Both boys were refused police bail and are expected to appear before the Brisbane Childrens Court sometime today;
The three cars involved in the alleged thefts are still outstanding. Investigations are ongoing.
