Locals might recognise parts of Logan in a newly released Netflix series ‘Boy Swallows Universe’.
The show, an adaption of a popular book by the same name, was partly filmed in Beenleigh in 2022.
Audiences can spot Beenleigh State School, Beenleigh Aquatic Centre, a local soccer field and numerous houses along Cameron Street.

The show is set in Brisbane in the early 1980s, and follows the harsh life of 12-year-old Eli Bell as he navigates his troubled family.
It’s inspired by the real-life childhood of Trent Dalton, the book’s author, whose stepfather was a heroin dealer and mother was an addict.
Filming created 185 jobs for cast and crew and around 2500 extras, according to Screen Queensland.
