Logan kerbside cleanup dates announced

If you missed the Boxing Day dump run and still have leftover old presents or household clutter from Christmas, the kerbside cleanup might be just what you need.

This annual service helps residents dispose of large items that cannot fit into standard wheelie bins, with specific dates assigned to each suburb.

The cleanup service will be conducted over two weeks for each suburb, with residents receiving advance notice via flyers delivered to their properties.

Residents are advised to place items on the kerb by 6:00am on the first day of their collection schedule, though items can be placed out the weekend prior.

Items should not be left out more than one week before the scheduled date.

Key dates for kerbside cleanup:

Jimboomba, Riverbend, Glenlogan, Flagstone: 20 January
Munruben, Park Ridge, Park Ridge South: 3 February
Stockleigh, Chambers Flat, Buccan, Logan Village: 17 February
Yarrabilba, Tamborine, Cedar Creek, Kairabah: 3 March
Logan Reserve, Waterford, Waterford West: 24 March
Rochedale South (north of Underwood Road), Priestdale: 7 April
Rochedale South (south of Underwood Road): 28 April
Springwood, Underwood: 12 May
Daisy Hill, Shailer Park: 26 May
Carbrook, Cornubia, Loganholme, Tanah Merah: 9 June

Accepted items include furniture, appliances with doors removed, and small amounts of building materials, while items such as hazardous waste, glass, and heavy materials like concrete are prohibited.

Residents are also reminded to limit waste to two cubic metres per dwelling and to place items neatly without obstructing footpaths, driveways, or other infrastructure.

For more details on proper disposal methods and item placement, visit the council’s A to Z of waste disposal and recycling guide.
