Logan community groups can apply for grants of up to $30,000 through a program that previously delivered $6500 to a Jimboomba sporting facility.
Jimboomba and District Sporting Association used its Queensland Country Bank Good for Good grant in 2021 to buy an industrial floor scrubber for facilities shared by local basketball, rhythmic gymnastics and karate groups.
Association president Jennifer Bishop said at the time the equipment would help maintain the heavily used facility.
“The addition of the new cleaning equipment will be a huge help for keeping our facilities in top condition for our basketball, rhythmic gymnastics and karate community who use the facilities on a daily basis,” Ms Bishop said.
Applications are now open for Queensland Country Bank’s 2026–27 Good for Good Community Grants program.
Eligible not-for-profit organisations, charities, community groups and sporting clubs can seek up to $30,000 for projects involving sport and recreation, health, education, the environment, or arts, culture and heritage.
Applicants do not need to be existing Queensland Country Bank customers.
However, successful organisations must be willing to open an account with the bank so the grant can be paid into it.
Funding can support facility improvements, equipment, educational programs and projects intended to improve access, inclusion, participation or community wellbeing.
Queensland Country Bank chief executive Aaron Newman said local organisations often needed financial support to turn ideas into practical projects.
“Every community has passionate people working hard to make life better for others, and often all they need is a helping hand to turn a great idea into reality,” Mr Newman said.
“Our Good for Good Community Grants are about backing those people and those projects.”
The bank has awarded 682 grants worth more than $3.27 million since the program began about 20 years ago.
Sixteen organisations shared more than $220,000 in the 2025–26 round.
Applications close on Sunday 16 August.
