A LOGAN couple has been given a lucky start in life, with a $100,000 Lotto win providing them a deposit on their first family home.
The unnamed couple won first prize in a super jackpot draw last week.
“I can’t think straight – I’m super nervous!” the winner said, admitting she thought the text asking her to ring the lotteries office was a spam message.
“I’m getting a bit teary! I need a minute.
“I saw a text message a day or two after the draw advising that to call The Lott head office and I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I thought it was a scam, so I ignored it.
“It wasn’t until this morning that I had a real think, and I decided to show my husband. I said to him, ‘Can you look at this please?’. That’s when he told me to call up.
“I have to dial in my husband to tell him that it’s true. I’m really nervous!”
She dialled in her husband to tell him the news.
“She is so, so deserving of this prize,” her husband said.
“She’s a hard worker and a great mum. I can tell this means a lot to her.”
