A Queensland Ambulance Service senior manager from Logan’s metro south health region has won a leadership award at The Commissioner’s Achievement Awards.
Agnes Excell was presented with the Excellence in Leadership awarded for the risk identification process within the region, particularly in relation to the Local Area Needs Assessment process.
QAS commissioner Craig Emeryand said Ms Excell “enabled her staff to feel they are directly or indirectly supporting patients and ensures the business support platform is operating effectively”.
“Our emergency medical dispatchers experienced our busiest day for Triple Zero
(000) calls in all QAS’s history in February, and our paramedics are being called out
to more critical incidents than ever before,” he said.
“The dedication of QAS staff does not go unnoticed, and I thank them for their extraordinary and compassionate efforts each and every day.
“Today is also a chance to reflect on the sacrifices that have been made, to pause
and pay our respects to officers who have died while performing their duties.”
