Logan residents in crisis will have a better phone counselling safety net with $24 million in state government funding committed to help Kids Helpline and Lifeline continue their critical services.
Minister for Health and Mental Health Shannon Fentiman said each service would receive $12 million, over the next four years to support those experiencing mental distress.
“Last year, Kids Helpline responded to nearly 30,000 contacts for help from Queensland kids and more than 200,000 Queensland adults reached out to Lifeline,” Ms Fentiman said.
