Kids get big choice for Easter holiday program

A range of painting, bushwalking, robotics and writing workshops will be held in the coming weeks as the April school holidays fast approaches.

Programs will be offered by Logan Libraries, Logan Art Gallery and the KRANK School Holiday Program to keep local students engaged and out of parents’ hair.

Children can head to local libraries to learn how to create their own felt animal bookmark, paper characters, dreamcatcher looms and phone charms.

Eight to 14-year-olds can learn to build and code a robot using one of LEGO’s latest robotics applications Spike Prime.

Children can also free loan Sphero robots and attend tutorial sessions.

The workshops for 10-year-olds and older will be held at Beenleigh, Logan West, Jimboomba, Logan North, Marsden and Logan Central libraries between Tuesday 9 April and Friday 12 April.

Each workshop participant can borrow the Sphero robot they use in the session through their library membership card to allow them to keep learning and playing with them at home.

Bookings are essential and can be made at: loglib.org/schoolhols
