Two joeys from Woodridge Scout Group have achieved the highest award possible for their section.
Alex Dixon and Tyler Buckley won the Joey Scout Challenge Award, a distinction that takes about three years to complete.
Dignitaries including the local scout commissioner Melissa Denholm and all levels of scouts, including venturers and rovers attended the ceremony to honour the boys’ work.
Joey leader Donna Jones said she was extremely proud of the boys, both who will now join the older cubs group.
“We do wonderfully well here for such a small club,” Ms Jones said.
“We’d love for people to come down to have a look at what we do and perhaps to join the scouting movement.”
