Hoons on the run have been arrested after a Polair chase last week.
On November 18, the helicopter tracked a black ute travelling through various streets of Loganlea.
There were two cars, one alleged to be “driving in a way that made excessive noise and smoke”.
The two drivers stopped at University Drive, Meadowbrook, where a man from Nerang, aged 23, was alleged to be drink driving.
Officers also found the man driving the vehicle to be unregistered, uninsured and unlicensed.
He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on December 7. The car was impounded for 90 days.
A 17-year-old Waterford West youth was also charged with drink driving and is due to appear at the Beenleigh Childrens Court.
“We are aware of many reports of this kind of dangerous driving behaviour in Logan,” Senior Constable Jonathan McDonald of Logan District Road Policing Unit said.
“We were very fortunate that no one was hurt during this incident.
“There really is no place for this kind of driving and behaviour on our roads in Logan and we encourage everyone to not risk their own and other peoples’ safety.”
