Holmview’s hot property market

The Logan suburb of Holmview was named the third fastest selling suburb in greater Brisbane according to new data out of mortgagebroker.com.au.

According to the statistics, properties took an average of 24 days to sell in Holmview, the third fastest selling suburb in the greater Brisbane area, behind Laidley North at 22 days and Brendale at 18 days.

Remax Revolution Shailer Park agents Eiles and Brittany Hunt are Holmview estate agent experts and Eiles said Holmview was attracting buyers for a raft of reasons.

“Holmview offers an affordable entry point into the property market, with median house prices around $680,000, which have seen a significant increase over the past year,” Ms Hunt said.

“Its strategic location between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Holmview is also particularly popular with young families due to its family-friendly environment, abundance of parks, and proximity to excellent schools.

“Additionally, Holmview boasts strong rental yields (approximately 4.7 pe cent), making it attractive to investors as well.”

Ms Hunt said Holmview properties moved “very quickly” once they were listed.

“As soon as we hit the market, we have buyers making offers,” she said.

“Our open home numbers are generally between 10-25 groups of buyers then going under contract within the first week.”

Holmview takes its name from the railway station established in 1885.

The name was adopted simply because the railway station had a view of the Loganholme area.
