Graduates find police jobs

Logan police stations are about to see an influx of graduates from the police academy.

Eleven graduates from the latest intake of trainees will be give orientation tours this week, and will find their way into local police stations.

Logan Central (3), Crestmead (3), Browns Plains (2), Jimboomba (2) and Loganholme (1), will all see recruits added to their roster.

The disbursement of graduates coincides with the the largest intake of police recruits in a decade.

Police Minister Mark Ryan said the frontline investment was about supporting community safety.

“And we have seen the vital role police play in supporting community safety during the pandemic,” he said.

“Police have been on the borders, in the airports, and managing hotel quarantine.

“We owe a great debt of gratitude to the Queensland Police Service for helping to keep the virus out and save lives.”
