Geared up for a green future

Just thinking about a house at Chambers Flat is almost enough to make your thumb go green.

On the property there are nine water tanks, collectively storing about 200,000 litres of water.

Add that to pristine bore water with 15 water outlets dispersed across the house yard, and timed sprinklers around the garden, and you’d think the garden was covered.

But wait. There’s more. There are two greenhouses, both fitted with sprinkler systems.

There are feed stock water troughs in the yard, allowing for horses or cattle if that’s what the new owner is after.

The house, at 58 Edgewater Drive, Chambers Flat is across 7 acres and has four electric fenced paddocks with steel cattle yards, and room to run “your choice of stock”, according to the agent Alison Russell from Real Property Vibe.

“There is an enormous chook pen, and the beautifully maintained gardens are interspersed with a wide variety of fruit and nut trees, providing fresh produce year round,” she said.

The house has been refurbished.

There’s an ensuite with barn door in the main, a second master bedroom with ensuite and a Victorian Ash kitchen with granite benchtops, dual electric oven, steamer, dishwasher, mobile island bench, and soft close drawers.

A billiard room, pool and outdoor areas combine as relaxation spaces, along with piped music to the lounge and outdoors.

There are security alarms, sensor lights and security screens, and 25 solar panels.

The brand new granny flat includes a kitchen with stone benchtops, laundry with linen cupboard, built-ins and a verandah.
