The Probus Club of Cornubia has wasted no time getting together for their first breakfast of the new year.
The breakfast is something they do every month to welcome members new and old.
“Around 50 members took advantage of this get-together to renew friendships, and we look forward to our first meeting, second Wednesday in February,” the club’s communications officer Carole Ekert said.
The club currently has over 70 members, and more are welcome.
According to its members, Probus is about “fun, fellowship and friendship”.
“Any person who is retired or semi-retired, would be most welcome to come along and experience the friendship and fellowship we offer,” Ms Ekert said.
“There’s always something happening.”
The club holds their general meetings at Beenleigh Bowls Club on the second Wednesday of each month, which is next Wednesday 7 February.
“The club is run by an energetic committee who ensure our activities run smoothly and we aim to have something for everyone to enjoy,” Ms Ekert said.
