Parents and carers supporting young people experiencing complex mental health challenges can attend a free peer-led workshop at Yarrabilba on Thursday 20 August.
The Speaking Their Language workshop will run from 10am to 2.30pm at Yarrabilba Community Centre, known as The Buzz, at 65 Basalt Drive.
Organisers Resilience in Reach say the session is designed to give parents, carers, families and kin practical tools for communicating with young people, including those whose experiences may make engagement with services or family difficult.
Resilience in Reach is a joint initiative of Raising Minds and Parent to Parent Queensland and describes its workshops as entirely peer-led.
Doors open at 9.30am, with free morning tea and lunch provided.
Attendance is free but registration through Humanitix is required.
Further information is available from Raising Minds on 07 3544 0988.
