A free 10-week drama program for artists with disabilities and neurodivergent artists will begin at Kingston Butter Factory this month.
The fACTory Drama Workshop Series will run from 10am to noon each Tuesday from 14 July to 15 September at Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct, 270 Jacaranda Avenue, Kingston.
The workshops are led by inclusive Queensland theatre company indelarts and are designed to let participants develop performance skills at their own pace.
Sessions include actor-training exercises and applied theatre techniques, with activities shaped around participants’ interests and goals.
The program can explore acting, movement, storytelling, theatre-making and other forms of performance.
No previous experience is required, there is no maximum age limit and support workers and carers are welcome to attend.
The term will finish with a showing for family and friends.
The program is free for people aged 16 and older, but bookings are essential. Book via Humanitix.
