Free Easter egg hunt at Forest Lake Markets

Families are being invited to take part in a free Easter egg hunt at the Forest Lake Markets, 60 College Avenue, next month.

The community event will run from 5pm to 6pm on Friday 10 April and is being hosted by local MP Margie Nightingale.

Children who attend will receive a hunting kit before searching the market for tokens hidden around the stalls.

Once collected, the tokens can be exchanged for Easter eggs and treats at Ms Nightingale’s stall.

Ms Nightingale said the event aimed to ensure local children could still enjoy Easter celebrations as many families face rising costs.

“With the cost of living continuing to bite, I know many local families are doing it tough this Easter, especially with the price of Easter eggs rising this year,” Ms Nightingale said.

“That’s why I’m excited to be hosting a free community Easter egg hunt for local children at the Forest Lake Markets.”

Some tokens will also be available at participating stalls, encouraging families to explore the markets while taking part in the hunt.

Ms Nightingale said the event was designed to create a simple community activity for families.

“This event is all about bringing the community together and making sure every child can enjoy a little Easter fun, regardless of the cost-of-living pressures many families are facing,” Ms Nightingale said.

The free event will run during the markets’ regular trading period, with children able to redeem tokens for Easter treats while supplies last.

Attendance is free and no bookings are required.
