‘Flashes of what could be’: St Bonaventure Flagstone head named

The head of college has been chosen for a future private school in the heart of one of Queensland’s fastest growing areas.

As schools in the greater Flagstone area near capacity, construction of St Bonaventure’s College at Flagstone is underway.

With science, art, sports and middle school facilities nearing completion, recently-named school leaders have said construction is moving at an “impressive pace”.

Nadia Galetto has been appointed as the college’s foundation head, and Anthony Elmore as foundation principal.

“I keep having flashes of what the school could be,” Ms Galetto said.

“The opportunity to work with families, staff, and the community to build something from scratch that is part of something larger is truly inspiring.

“I am excited to watch our foundation students shape St Bonaventure’s College.

“They are the school, and they will always be part of its story.”

The prep-year 12 college is expected to open next year, with enrolment for prep and years 1, 2, 3, and 7 already open.

As she prepares for an exciting adventure, Nadia said,

St Bonaventure’s College, led by Foundation Principal Anthony Elmore, will embrace an innovative approach to learning that puts students in the driver’s seat.

“Anthony and I want students to feel in control of their learning,” Nadia said.

“By focusing on critical and creative thinking, we will help students explore, be curious, and bring their ideas to life.

“When students are engaged, attendance and confidence improve, and learning is joyful.”

With building in progress and anticipation growing for Flagstone’s newest Catholic school, the community welcomes its first Head of College, who will help shape its future.
