With the warm weather becoming a distant memory and getting out of bed in the morning becomes slightly more difficult, it is important to stay warm in Beenleigh this winter. From 5-21 June, the Beenleigh Theatre Group is putting on a production of Tootsie which could be a fun event to enjoy with some friends. This is a good option for those who love to support local art and artists.
- Spend a rainy day at the library.
Libraries are quiet and warm spaces to enjoy during winter. Whether you enjoy getting to know new people within the community, or prefer some quiet reading time, the Beenleigh branch of the Logan City Libraries could be the spot for you. The library obviously has books, but also free Wi-Fi and community events, this is a good idea for students, families or anyone interested in a relaxing day out of the house this winter.
- Go op shopping for winter finds.
Sustainable shopping is always a must when finding affordable and cool new clothes. Go to your local op shop and have a browse of their winter fashion. You could find the perfect oversized jumper, sweater or even the perfect scarf to help keep you warm this winter. Get some friends together and have a look at Vinnies Beenleigh or the Salvos for your perfect winter outfits.
- Create the ultimate movie night.
For any introverts who are more interested in a quiet night at home, this is the perfect idea for you. Plan the perfect movie night from the comfort of your own home. Gather all your cosiest blankets and movie snacks and support local takeaway spots in your area. Get some pizza from the local business down the road or run to your local supermarket to grab your favourite movie night snacks. Nothing beats a movie night when it’s freezing outside.
