Family day at Daisy Hill or Karawatha
Enjoy a family day in nature. Both the Daisy Hill Koala Centre and Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre are free and accessible and the kids can learn about native wildlife.
Daisy Hill Koala Centre is open daily from 10am-4pm. Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre is open daily, except for Mondays, from 10am-4pm.
Sate your strawberry cravings
Instead of strawberry ice cream, enjoy a strawberry matcha at Eight Ounce Cafe at Springwood. If that does not satisfy your strawberry urges, take a short drive over to Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm and enjoy the strawberries there, and potentially even pick your own.
Eight Ounce Cafe is open from 7am-2pm on weekdays, except for Tuesdays, and 8am-3pm on weekends.

Where Do I Belong? exhibition at Logan Art Gallery
For a quieter day out, bring your family to the Logan Art Gallery, where the current exhibition, Where do I belong?, explores the art around Australia’s native birds and implores visitors to imagine a future where local birdlife thrives while exploring the beauty and vulnerability of our birds, with its culmination being the Art and Nature Symposium on Saturday, 22 August. Where do I belong? is open from 10am-4pm Tuesdays to Saturdays from Saturday, 20 June to Saturday, 29 August. Bookings for the Art and Nature Symposium are essential via Logan Arts.
