A free, all-inclusive festival providing families with an alternative to Halloween is returning to Logan for the 14th time.
The Light of the World Festival, run by Logan Community Events, last year attracted more than 6000 people.
Featuring rides, games, food, live music and entertainment, showrunners are anticipating an even bigger crowd this year.
“It’s a big effort,” Logan Community Events development and training director Heath Henwood said.
“We get a great reaction from the community.
“People just love that it is a free event, family-oriented and safe.”
The festival is on Thursday 31 October with gates opening at 3pm and live entertainment to run from 4-9pm.
While entry is free, a once off $10 pass will need to be purchased to use the rides.
“We want Light of the World to be a highly accessible event, which is why we
offer free entry and affordable food and rides throughout the night,” Mr Henwood said.
“We have experienced tremendous growth and awareness since our beginnings in a car park at the end of a street.”
