Fencing upgrade promise

Improved security fencing has been promised for Loganholme State School if the local state member is re-elected.

The commitment is the third election promise for Logan made by Waterford MP and health minister Shannon Fentiman.

“I have always fought hard to deliver a quality education for Logan kids, and a quality
education means having quality facilities,” Ms Fentiman said.

“I have heard from the P&C, teachers and staff, and I know how much this would mean to
local families.

“Whether it’s expanding schools, upgrading facilities, or hiring more teachers and teachers
aides, Logan can always count on Labor to deliver a better education for Queensland kids.”

Loganholme State School caters to students from Prep to Year 6.

It is hoped the fencing would keep staff and students safe, while also protecting school
grounds during weekend and school holiday periods.

Similar fencing has been rolled out around the state as part of the Department of Education’s Security Upgrade Program.
