Mustang Brothers Rugby League Football Club are holding a Food, Beats and Treats event across Easter Saturday and Sunday, to raise money for club upgrades, essential training and equipment.
Held on 4 and 5 April, the family fun weekend will feature a range of activities, including a jumping castle and an Easter hunt for the kids, a movie on the big screen and a live band, as well as a visit from the Easter bunny.
Fundraising Coordinator, Kirsty Brimelow said the event celebrates “the spirit of connection, renewal, and belonging.”
“We’re hosting it to strengthen the relationships that make our club more than a place to play sport – it’s a place where families, players, coaches, and supporters come together as one,” she said.
“The day is designed to welcome new members, create shared memories, and reinforce the values that define us. At its heart is our commitment to one team, one club – a reminder that every person in our community matters and that we grow stronger when we celebrate as one.”
Ms Brimelow said the weekend will raise essential funds for the club.
“We are fundraising to provide essential training and equipment, fund accredited coaching courses for player development and contribute to much‑needed upgrades to our club,” she said.
“Funds will purchase up‑to‑date training gear, protective equipment, and age‑appropriate resources, cover formal coach education so volunteers and staff can deliver consistent, high‑quality coaching across all teams, and improve club facilities to better support players and the wider community.”
Whilst most of the easter activities will be held on the Saturday, a market will be held on Sunday – where eventgoers can browse stalls from local businesses, retailers and makers, and sample treats from a variety of food vendors.
Food, Beats and Treats will start at 12pm on Saturday and 9am Sunday at Mustangs Brothers Rugby League Football Club at Chambers Flat.
