Elite gymnastics comes to Logan

The best of Queensland’s gymnastic talent comes to Logan this weekend for the 2022 Queensland Senior State Championships.

More than 700 gymnasts from across the state will participate in the events, to be held at Logan from March 25-27.

Gymnastics Queensland CEO Chris Rushton said teams would compete across six disciplines at the Championships.

“The State Championships is a qualifier for Nationals, which is a qualifier for upcoming international competitions such as the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham,” Mr Rushton said.

“Every national and international-level athlete in Queensland will take to the floor over the next two weeks.

“These athletes are seeking to secure their position on the Queensland State Team and be named Queensland State Champion.

“It will be an exciting two weeks of competition; I can’t wait to see it unfold.”

The Queensland Senior State Championships – featuring Aerobic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics – will be held in partnership with Logan City Council at the Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre from 25-27 March.

Tickets for all events are $16.50 for adults, $12.40 for concession and free for children aged 0-17. For more information visit http://www.gymqld.org.au/.
