The housing market in Logan is tight, just as it is across the nation, which is why we’re working to ensure the Queensland Government’s Big Build is delivering more homes locally.
By investing in social housing infrastructure, the plan is to help some of the most vulnerable older people in our community age respectfully.
The latest project under construction on Cinderella Drive in Springwood, will provide affordable homes for over 35 older locals and will put downward pressure on rentals costs for everyone.
This state-of-the-art building will make a huge difference to our community, so it’s worth giving it the right name.
That’s why we’ve announced residents can have your say on who this key piece of community infrastructure should be named after.
Logan has produced some greats, known locally and internationally, like Brisbane Bronco’s star Corey Parker, local elder Aunty Peggy Tidyman, and long-time Logan City volunteer Bobby Mearns.
So why not immortalise a local legend when we name our latest Big Build project?
Submissions will close on 1 March 2024 before a shortlist will be selected and voting opens for the preferred name.
Our Big Build isn’t just about delivering houses, it’s about creating homes for people who need them, and supporting jobs for tradies during construction.
