AÂ man has died while in police custody after suffering a medical episode in a Logan watchhouse.
The 21-year-old man was arrested in Logan around 5pm on Wednesday 17 August on a return to prison warrant.
He was taken to the Beenleigh Watchhouse.
But two hours later the man was taken to Logan Hospital after what police have called a “medical episode”.
He was pronounced dead at 7.40pm.
The incident is under investigation by the Queensland Police Service Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the state coroner, and is subject to oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
