A 19-year-old man from Springwood was charged for allegedly racing on a local road, among other alleged dangerous driving offences on 24 May.
Police say they received reports from community members who allegedly saw a Ford Falcon sedan doing burnouts on a local road.
“Investigations led Police to a Springwood address where the 19-year-old Springwood man and the vehicle were located.
“The man was arrested and charged with racing on the road, driving an unregistered vehicle, and wilfully causing motor vehicle to lose traction on the road.
“The vehicle has been seized under the hooning legislation.”
The Springwood man is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on June 10.
