Crime scene declared after “suspicious fire”

Police are investigating what they have called a “suspicious fire” at a business in Beenleigh over the weekend.

Emergency crews were called to a City Road address at around 4.30am on Saturday, according to a police statement.

“Upon arrival the business was fully engulfed,” the statement read.

“A crime scene was declared, and police are further investigating the cause of the fire.

“Anyone with information or vision that could assist investigations is urged to contact police.”
