Crime map records 9297 Logan offences in three months

Queensland Police Service data shows 9297 offences were recorded across Logan in the past three months.

A broader two-year snapshot from the same tool shows 71,004 offences were recorded between May 29, 2024 and May 28, 2026.

The figures, taken from the Queensland Police Service Online Crime Map, cover recorded offences across Logan between February 28 and May 28.

Separate Queensland Crime Statistics data for Logan District shows recorded offence numbers have remained high in recent years, with annual totals above 50,000 in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The figures do not point to a single cause behind Logan’s high offence numbers.

The Queensland Government Statistician’s Office cautions that recorded offence data can be affected by population growth, reporting behaviour, police detection, operational changes and changes to recording rules.

In Logan, recent offence totals are heavily driven by high-volume property offences such as theft, vehicle-related theft, property damage and unlawful use of motor vehicles, alongside domestic and family violence-related breaches, drug offences and traffic matters.

Queensland Government Statistician’s Office material also notes that changes to police recording of domestic and family violence-related offences from July 2021 and the post-COVID return to normal activity, should be considered when comparing recent figures with earlier years.

The figures should be read as recorded offences, not the number of unique incidents, victims or offenders.

Local crime data can be viewed through the Queensland Police Service Online Crime Map.
