Coppas on the couch

Police are taking momentary time out from the beat to partake in a program they’re calling “Coppas on the Couch”.

A “mobile” couch will be taken around the Logan community, hosting interviews with people from various cultures and nationalities, or people including everyday locals to professionals with expertise in a variety of areas.

“This is a community project to share information and bring people together with the key goal to continually improve the relationships between our community and police,” Acting Sergeant Tracey Clouston said.

“We endeavour to cover all topics in an open manner, including road safety, fire safety, knife crime, locals sharing their own stories or simply asking a police officer a question they have always wanted answered.

“We would also like to share some good news stories of community members’ experiences with police.”

Interviews will be shared on Youtube.

“Our hope is to reach as many people within the community as possible so we would love to have your support and assistance. We are excited to work with you on this project,” Acting Sergeant Clouston said.
