The Transport and Main Roads Department says community input is helping with planning for Stage 2 of the Coomera Connector road.
In a statement, a department spokesperson said a key example of how community input will influence the ultimate design of the Coomera Connector is the proposed connection to the Coomera Connector at Fryar Road, Eagleby.
“While some community members hold concerns about the potential for additional traffic to use Fryar Road, others have told us they see value in gaining an additional entry and exit point to the Eagleby community,” the spokesperson said.
“We are keen to hear community views on whether this connection should be provided.
“We are also talking to the community about opportunities to improve recreation facilities around the Eagleby Wetlands.
“Community feedback on the assessment outcomes are welcome until 30 June 2021.”
The statement said a consultation summary report would be prepared once community feedback had been analysed.
