Clearwater Street’s royal gem

Aptly titled ‘The Castle on the Hill’, 62-64 Clearwater Street has been described as a “personal haven in the heart of Bethania”.

Sales agent Rachel Hobbs from Ray White Marsden said the home, which finished construction only last year, was a deliberate mix of contemporary architecture and sustainability.

“The owner wanted to use recycled materials, so it’s actually recycled brick across the front, and she loved the shipping container look.

“So, it’s not made of shipping containers, but it has that vibe – it has a bit of an industrial feel on the outside, while remaining homely on the inside.

“And nothing on the outside requires any maintenance, which is what she really wanted.”

Ms Hobbs said the highlight of the home would be surprising to some.

“I love standing at the top of the stairs, because you’ve got this spectacular view out to acreage that will never be interrupted.

“And then it also gives you this sense of what’s downstairs because of how high the ceiling is, and also the wooden feature wall.”

Downstairs is the living area, an open space room with 5.5-metre-high ceilings and two rows of large windows.

There are five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cinema room and a gym.

“The gym is a multipurpose space, so it’s really useful,” Ms Hobbs said.

“And also, find me a gym with a better view.

“The garage is so big it makes the owner’s tractor look like a Tonka truck.

“It’s an eight-by-twelve metre garage – it’s bigger than a lot of Logan homes.”

She said the supersized garage could fit 10 cars and was deep enough to fit caravans and boats.

There’s also another 9.8m by 14m carport.

According to Ms Hobbs, the home offered more than just beautiful views, luxury living and lots of storage.

“It’s a 7.6acre block, but it’s only a five-minute walk from the train station,” she said.

“Where else can you find that?”

There are several nearby parks, schools, shopping centres, and dining options all within “easy reach”.

Bethania Lutheran Primary School, Loganholme State School, Edens Landing State School, Waterford State School and Canterbury College are all within a three-kilometre radius of the home.

She described the property as a “backyard paradise”, with “lush, landscaped” gardens, a pool and a large patio she said was perfect for a barbeque or party.

“When you’re out the back on the acreage and you look back at the home, it really does look like a castle on the hill – it’s all you can see.”
