Challenging year for students

Year 12 students across the Forde electorate have been celebrating their graduations this month.

This year has been challenging to say the least for our school communities and I know it has been especially hard for those students graduating this year.

I commend our students on how they have adapted to these challenging circumstances and have now equipped themselves for the future as a result of this experience.

I would like to provide my message for our year 12 students to offer them my best for what lies ahead.

Congratulations class of 2021!

You have made it through one of the most challenging, yet most rewarding chapters in your life.

Who would have thought the last two years of school would be marked by a global pandemic, lockdowns, home schooling and so much more?

Your journey, no doubt has been filled with many challenges, ups and downs, laughter and tears, friendships formed and lost.

To get to the finish line is a bittersweet moment. Your individual paths in life have led you to this point and now a new set of opportunities are before you.

I encourage you to never lose sight of this desire to learn, grow and develop personally. The chapters to come require courage, boldness, a willingness to be blind to failure and the ability to look beyond the here and now.

This is also an important time to thank and congratulate all the parents, teachers, and school staff for the ongoing support and encouragement they have provided you along this journey.

These special people have helped you become the person you are today.

Once again, congratulations and good luck on this transition from school. I wish all of our students all the best in their future endeavours.
