Businesses with bragging rights

The fifth annual Logan Business Distinction Awards was a night to remember.

A total of 110 entries were submitted by 800 nominated businesses vying for recognition at the city’s premier business awards in Logan.

In the end, only a few dozen of the city’s best were able to secure bragging rights.

Judges were selected from a pool of experts in the local business community.

According to Logan Chamber of Commerce president Arwen McGregor, judges looked for clear and coherent submissions from businesses that showed a good understanding of their industry.

“The more knowledge that an applicant showed about their business processes and planning, the higher their score, ” she said.

“This year we introduced the question of ‘Why Logan’ – the judges were looking for answers that showed a love of the community, as well as the economic reasons for locating their business in Logan.”

The awards are open to all Logan businesses.
