A four-day police blitz last week focusing on safe driving netted two drivers driving unregistered vehicles, three drivers unlicensed, one with a disqualified license and one with an uninsured vehicle.
A Boronia Heights man allegedly blew 0.13 and was charged with drink driving.
All came from about 1000 random breath tests.
Eighteen traffic infringement notices were also issued for the various offences including exceeding the speed limit, driving unregistered vehicles, defective vehicles and learner driver while unaccompanied.
Senior Constable Craig Jolly of Browns Plains Police Station, said police will continue to engage, educate and enforce.
“We will engage with our local community about why it is important to ‘own it’ when it comes to your driving behaviour and habits,” Senior Constable Jolly said.
“We will educate the community on what they can do to stay safe on our roads, in their homes, and in our communities.
“We will also vigorously disrupt unlawful behaviour on the roads and in our community.”
Browns Plains Police make no apology for their commitment to keeping the community safe and reducing road trauma. If you commit traffic offences in the Browns Plains Police Division, you will be caught.
