A Logan man recovering from a “tough time” can now afford a home thanks to a $1 million lotto win.
While he could spend the money on a luxury car or holiday, the Bethania local said he would instead buy a home.
“This will help us go into the property market,” he said.
“We need a house.
“We went through a tough time and we’ve been saving for a house ever since.”
The man said he had only recently begun punting on his now lucky lotto game.
But he already proved himself a risk-taker just days before the big win.
“I went skydiving on the weekend,” he said.
“And If I had known that I had won on the weekend, I don’t think I would’ve jumped out of the sky. But don’t get me wrong, it feels like I’m still on a high.
“I didn’t even know about the win until I read the email from The Lott this morning and I had to check the ticket immediately.”
