Beginner Printmaking brought to community

Beginner printmakers can try relief printing at Logan Art Gallery during a hands-on workshop this month.

Logan Community Printmakers: Beginners will run from 10am on Tuesday 23 June at Logan Art Gallery, on Wembley Road and Jacaranda Avenue, Logan Central.

Logan Arts says the four-hour drop-in workshop will give beginner-level printmakers a chance to work on relief printing projects using the gallery’s medium-sized press.

Guidance will be provided by printmakers Richard Blundell, Rachael Lee and Gillian Richards.

Bird-themed lino prints are encouraged as part of the gallery’s Where do I belong? exhibition.

All materials will be provided. Participants should bring lunch and wear closed-in shoes.

The workshop costs $5, with no transaction fee, and is listed for people aged 16 and older.
