The Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum will come alive after dark in November as its Twilight Markets return for an evening of local stalls, entertainment and community spirit in one of the city’s most historic settings.
The event will be held from 5pm-8pm on Saturday 14 November with visitors invited to wander through the village while enjoying food, crafts, clothing, toys and more.
Event organiser Tiffany Smith said this year’s event would offer attendees the chance to visit the village after dark and get started early on their Christmas shopping.
“It’s a general market. It’s for anyone who wants to get in a little bit early for their Christmas shopping,” Ms Smith said.
The Twilight Markets unfold among the village’s heritage buildings, creating an atmosphere that blends history with modern community gathering.
“It just feels so nice here at night. I mean, you’re wandering around old buildings and things that you don’t usually get to see in the dark,” Ms Smith said.
The markets also help support the village’s ongoing work preserving Beenleigh’s history for future generations.
“All of the funds go to restoration and upkeep … we need people to come help us keep our history alive,” Ms Smith said.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
