Police are investigating the alleged assault and robbery of a 12-year-old boy on Station Road at Woodridge yesterday.
Police said about 3.40pm on Monday, 2 March, the boy was approached by a male who asked him for the time.
When the boy took his phone out of his backpack to check the time, the male, police allege, took the phone from the boy, assaulted him, and fled along Station Road.
The boy was taken to the hospital for observation and minor injuries.
Police believe a number of people witnessed the robbery and are appealing for the public to come forward with relevant information that could help them identify the alleged offender.
