The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a wetter-than-average warm season.
But authorities are reminding people that every drop still counts.
A Logan City Council representative said residents should consider their water use this National Water Week and to continue good practices in the future.
This year, the Australian Water Association is encouraging everyone to “reimagine our water future” and how our current water practices could impact it.
City of Logan Mayor Darren Power said Council’s water and wastewater infrastructure, as well as its community education programs, were developed with the city’s water future in mind.
“Clean and accessible water is an integral part of the lifestyle we enjoy in the City of Logan,” Cr Power said.
“Our focus on well-planned and efficient water and wastewater networks has allowed us to freeze our component of residents’ water charges for four years in a row.
“We are making good progress towards a sustainable water future, but it is important to remember we all have a part to play.
“As a growing city, we must protect our water resources and use them wisely.”
Water saving strategies and information about Council’s water use program are available on the Logan City Council website.
