A psychic reading that ended in a move

Jimboomba couple, Kat Lenz and Neil Sutherland recently bought a salt cave.

They weren’t planning on it, but a psychic reading indicated it was all mapped out for them.

“We weren’t even looking to move or buy another property,” Ms Lenz said.

“I was actually in Salt & Soul for a psychic reading and the psychic kept bringing up the word ‘moving’ and said that we would be moving in the very near future.

“While I was there, I also had a chat to the previous owner who told me the property was on the market, but I didn’t think anything of it and certainly didn’t think we would be moving in.”

A few weeks after her psychic reading, Mrs Lenz decided to have a look.

“As the weeks went on, I had been thinking about it and thought we should just have a look at the property,” she said.

“For the home, it’s smaller than our previous home but it has a separate cabin which we thought would be perfect for our 19-year-old, as well as an updated kitchen and bathrooms, a beautiful tropical style pool and a three-bay shed perfect for Neil.”.

“We also thought it’s just so peaceful here surrounded by bushland and nature, you feel so far away from the hustle and bustle.”

Along with its own lake with a walk bridge over top, the property features a dam and its own resident duck called Delilah.

Ms Lenz said it was all perfect timing for her.

“I had just resigned from my position as a director and after 20 years in Childcare I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next,” she said.

“When we looked at the house, we thought this is the change we need and the house just really sold it for us, and the business was a bonus.”

“I was worried the kids would think the house was a lot smaller, but they absolutely love it here and love their surroundings.”

While at first Mrs Lenz wasn’t sure about the business side of things, she said the business would become her new full-time gig.

“I wasn’t sure what would happen with the business side of things, it’s so different to what I have done previously,” she said.

“Working on your own property is surreal and it’s an amazing opportunity to take on something new – something of my own.

“We just couldn’t pass up this opportunity and have so many plans for the property and business.”

The three-acre property on Tamborine Street comes with a three-bedroom home with a separate one-bedroom cabin, a three-bay shed and an inground pool.
