No say in Bethania solution

In regard to the article ” Mexican Standoff” (MyCity Logan, December 21), I would like to have my say even though it will make no difference.

As a resident of Bethania who uses this intersection a number of times every day of the week I have seen everything except an accident but I have trouble understanding why not.
I do wonder where some people got their license or their glasses. It is not hard to read signs or to know the road rules.
Back when Bethania had representation on Logan City Council, so before Tony Hall, I wrote to the then councillor in regard to this matter.
I have no idea who designed or built the off-ramp but in my view they were short-sighted.
There have been accidents there for many years including a lady killed.
Had the off-ramp been the existing Albert St, most of the issues would have been solved.
That would have left Station Rd as a T-section and many issues solved.
The response I got was that it would be too expensive to do now.
The lights will not solve the problem. Can they imagine the back up of traffic on the off-ramp waiting for the lights to change?
In my reading about black spots in Queensland most are at lights because people do the wrong thing. This will be no different.
I do not remember getting any say in what should happen at this intersection. But that is how we are now governed.
