TWO Logan businesses have walked away with key awards from a ceremony acknowledging the state’s best exporters.
Meadowbrook-based Imaging Solutions took home the international health award, while Loganholme’s CEQ Group was named best in the professional services category.
CEQ is an industrial electrical contractor and engineering company, while Imaging Solutions exports healthcare imaging equipment.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said exporters supported 20% of jobs in Queensland, many of them regional.
“In the 12 months to August, Queensland goods exports were worth more than $62 billion, our strongest monthly result since before the pandemic began,” she said.
“I want to congratulate not only the winners of tonight’s awards, but all of our exporters who have risen to the challenges during this global pandemic.
“They’ve diversified into new markets, developed new products and strengthened relationships with customers in tough times and for that they should all be proud.”
Winners in each of the state’s 13 award categories automatically qualify as finalists in the national Australian Export & Investment Awards that are to be held on November 25 in Canberra, staged by Austrade.
